What NeatClick collects
The NeatClick app does not include analytics, advertising, telemetry, or tracking. NeatClick does not collect or upload your file contents, filenames, paths, or file metadata. When you activate or validate a license, the app sends the license key or activation token, a randomly generated installation identifier, your Mac’s name, the app version, and routine network request information to the license service. This information is used only to validate the license, enforce device limits, prevent abuse, and provide support.
How files are processed
Actions run locally on your Mac. NeatClick accesses the files and folders you select so it can perform the action you request and save the result. Originals are preserved unless an action explicitly says otherwise.
Information stored on your Mac
NeatClick may store preferences such as output-folder choices, action favorites, recent action shortcuts, and saved presets. Recent job information and technical diagnostics may also be available locally to help explain results and failures. Your license key and activation token are stored in the macOS Keychain. Local file-processing information and preferences are not sent to NeatClick.
Website analytics
This website uses PostHog in cookieless mode to understand page visits, interactions, downloads, checkout activity, browser and device information, and website errors. PostHog analytics does not set cookies or use local or session storage, does not create identified visitor profiles, and does not record session replays. PostHog estimates daily unique visitors using a privacy-preserving hash generated on its servers from the project identifier, a daily rotating salt, IP address, user agent, and hostname. The IP address is removed before analytics enrichment. We configure PostHog to remove sensitive purchase query parameters and exclude the license receipt, including your license key and email address, from analytics.
Purchase data
When you choose to buy NeatClick, Stripe processes your payment details and email address on its hosted checkout. The NeatClick license service stores your email address, transaction identifiers, purchase amount, license status, encrypted license key, update eligibility date, and activation records so it can fulfill and support your purchase. Website, payment, analytics, download, and infrastructure providers may also process routine request information such as IP addresses and browser details under their own policies.
Support communications
If you contact support, NeatClick will receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and troubleshooting details. Do not send private files or sensitive information unless it is necessary and specifically requested. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain service records, or meet legal obligations.
Sharing and selling data
NeatClick does not sell personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Stripe, PostHog, and the server hosting infrastructure process information on NeatClick’s behalf only as needed to provide payment, analytics, licensing, fraud prevention, and support.
Your choices
Cookieless analytics does not create a persistent visitor profile and is not connected to your email address or purchase record. You can deactivate your license in NeatClick Settings and remove locally stored preferences by deleting NeatClick’s app data or uninstalling the app. If you have purchased a license or contacted support, use the contact method on the Support page to request access to or deletion of associated personal information, subject to applicable legal and fraud-prevention requirements.
Children’s privacy
NeatClick is a general-purpose file utility and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

This policy may change as NeatClick evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
